How Advanced electrolysis works
The procedure starts with a consultation, assessing your skin condition and discussing your concerns where we will determine if you are a suitable candidate for advanced electrolysis treatment.
The area that is being treating will be prepared making sure your skin is cleaned and sanitized, for nervous clients a topical numbing cream may be applied during a consultation but generally does not require anaesthesia.
Treatment consists of a probe or needle inserted and placed into the area where a controlled electrical current is applied to destroy and remove the unwanted lesion. Depending on the area and skin condition being treated will determine the setting and technique be used.
The electrical current is used to coagulate blood vessels to destroy skin condition, and the tissue is sealed off by cauterization of the skin.
After the procedure a soothing cream/ gel or other post-treatment products are applied to heal and sooth the skin, reducing discomfort and following aftercare from your therapist that clients should follow to avoid post treatment trauma such as swelling or redness.
Multiple sessions of advanced electrolysis may be needed to achieve desired outcomes of the treatment depending on the specific skin condition. The number of treatments needed will be varied depending on individuals’ response to the treatment as well as other factors such as the size, location and depth of the skin condition.
